We raise funds to encourage and support education and understanding between New Zealanders and the people of China.

It is our intention to raise funds to build a dedicated, climate-controlled venue in Canterbury that will collect, curate and exhibit tangible items relating to Rewi Alley. With this venue, the foundation will be able to provide an essential service as guardians of donated collections of images, art, letters, books and other legacy items or memorabilia with the long-term understanding that they will be available for research, study, learning and understanding by all on the life and legacy of Rewi Alley.

The Rewi Alley Foundation of New Zealand was established to:
• Promote and uphold the legacy and life of Rewi Alley through Aotearoa/New Zealand and China.
• Protect the name and legacy of Rewi Alley from any exploitation for commercial gain or advantage.
