About the Lu Bo
Lu Bo is a renowned Chinese sculptor who was born in 1942. She received her formal education at the Beijing Central Fine Arts Institute, where she studied for 8 years. Throughout her career, Lu Bo has made significant contributions to the field of sculpture.
In addition to her artistic achievements, Lu Bo has been actively involved in various associations, including the Chinese Artists’ Association and the Henan Artists’ Association. Her work has gained recognition and she is featured in the Chinese Art Dictionary and Chinese Modern Art Dictionary.
Lu Bo’s artistic journey led her to New Zealand as part of an artist’s exchange program at Quary Arts Centre in Whangarei. Her talent and dedication to her craft have also earned her the position of sculptor in residence at the Henan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in 1991.
